RASA Program Descriptions
Game Lounge: This club is open to students who have attended their scheduled programs during the week. That means if you want to join Game Lounge you must join at least one other club. Play games on the Wii and play some dodgeball or basketball in the open gym. Check it out!
Play Guitar: Do you want to learn and practice the basics of guitar? Come hang out with Mr. Gamage and learn beginning chords, transitions and how to play a song. This program is open to 5th-8th graders.
Threads: Make some cool threads while learning to sew by hand and on a machine. Alter existing clothes and craft new projects. This program is open to 5th-8th graders.

Club RASA
Fifth and 6th graders only! This is your club. Meets after school until 4:30. We’ll spend a half hour on homework – help available-and then on to the fun. Each day of the week is a separate Club RASA program with its own theme. Which one(s) will you choose?
Mondays - Club RASA Sports: Get out some energy after school! We’ll play team games and a jumble of other fun activities while running, jumping, throwing, darting, and thinking strategically.
Tuesdays—Club RASA Art: Be creative! Oodles of exciting projects await in this club centered around the Arts. Investigate and explore your creative side.
Wednesday - Club RASA Community Service: Play games and make new friends all while volunteering for worthy causes! Give some of your time to the animal shelter, make care packages for soldiers or hospitalized children, learn to knit scarves for the homeless, or help feed the hungry. Spend your day having fun AND helping others!
Thursdays - Club RASA Cooks: Hang out with friends and learn to cook tasty foods! This cooking club will teach you the basics and stretch your taste buds.

Art Zone: Explore new ways to create in this fun club led by a local artist. Produce new works of art each week as you make your way through the session.
Claymation: Create sets, characters and props to complete a stop-animation mini movie. Work with clay, basic art and recycled materials while exploring techniques to design and craft your masterpiece!
Crazy Kitchen: Come explore the kitchen from a whole new perspective. This club is a combination of cooking and mad science that will challenge your creativity and dazzle your taste buds.
Dodgeball, Gaga, and More!: Dodge, duck, dip, dive and … GAGA? Fun is guaranteed as we mix up the dodgeball scene a bit. We’ll always start with a new and fun game, and then move into an action-packed game of dodgeball. When we’re ready for a new challenge, we’ll jump into the gaga pit and play every-man-for-himself in this camp favorite.
Field Games: Navigate obstacle courses, capture the flag, play team games and other fun activities while enjoying the great outdoors.
High Tech Art & Drawing: Learn how to utilize the very popular Wacom digital pen tablets used by artists, graphic designers, architects, and cartoonists around the world. Start digitalizing your own art portfolio and have fun learning from local artist, Josh Watmough.
Homework Hub: Work together, independently or with the instructor to get your homework done. Get some work accomplished while waiting for sports practice to begin or whenever you need a great working atmosphere. Get the extra help you need!
RASA Volunteers : All new 8th grade volunteer program. Are you up for a challenge? RASA needs your help! Your first task is to take on planning a winter RASA Club offering, and then we’ll move on to even bigger jobs that need your input. Bring your creativity and get ready to make a difference! 8th graders only.
Rock City Skateboard Club: It’s baaack… We’ll provide the skateboards and safety gear so you can concentrate on enjoying the ride and learning tips and tricks from instructor Adam Fearing and the Youthlinks team of High School mentors.
